Raleigh St. Augustine Grass

This is the most widely grown variety of St. Augustine grass in Texas. It has broad leaves of medium green color and a coarse texture. It is cold hardy and shade tolerant but requires 3 to 4 hours of direct sunlight a day. Raleigh grass is drought tolerant and can handle traffic as long as it’s not excessive. It provides dense ground coverage and has a short growth habit with a mowing height between 2 to 3 inches. It is widely used for residential and commercial lawns.
